WINNIPEG – How long is your commute to and from work?
According to the Manitoba Watch Online Panel from Insightrix Research done for 680 CJOB and Global News, most residents in Winnipeg say their commute takes between 20 to 30 minutes while 55% say it’s unchanged from five years ago.
However, 29% say their commute is worse while only 17% say it’s better.
Sherisse Holtom lives in south St. Vital and works off of St. James and Notre Dame.
The drive home is so unpredictable that it’s cost her extra in childcare fees.
“My husband works shift work and we’ve actually had to keep after-school childcare for a year longer than we normally would have because of the unpredictability of when I arrive home,” says Holtom.
When it comes to major road projects, 52% of Winnipeggers believe that Kenaston should be widened as soon as possible.
Lagimodiere came in second followed by McPhillips.
