Winnipeg – For the second time in as many weeks, a member of the U of M Bisons Football Team has been recognized nationally. First Year placekicker Brad Mikoluff booted field goals of 36,30, and 12 yards- and was also good on 3/3 convert attempts in last saturday’s 38-17 win over Saskatchewan in the Annual Homecoming Game at Investors Group Field.
The perfect performance earned the former Winnipeg Rifle and Kildonan East Collegiate Grad, CIS Special Teams Player of the Week honors as the Bisons evened their record at 2-2. The week before, U of M Quarterback Theo Deezar was named the top CIS Offensive Player.
The number 9 ranked Bisons travel to Vancouver to take on the defending Vanier Cup Champion UBC Thunderbirds Friday Night. Both teams share third place in the Canada West Conference standings along with Saskatchewan.
