WINNIPEG – Police have charged four people after a man was attacked inside a house on Cathedral Avenue near Arlington.
This is related to a police presence that was on scene for almost half the day on Wednesday.
Officers say this went on for hours and the victim was even threatened with a shotgun before he was dropped off north of the city.
Constable Jason Michalyshen tells Global News, the information from the victim led police back to Cathedral.
“It led us to a vehicle where we initially had contact with three individuals, later to be suspects involved in the assault,” says Michalyshen. “Ultimately, we did remove numerous other individuals from the home.”
Since a gun was involved, the armoured vehicle, known as ARV1, was called in to help officers get those people out of the house.
Michalyshen says the residence along with the four people charged are all known to police.
