WINNIPEG – Alcohol is partly to blame for a crash south of Winnipeg on Highway 59.
RCMP say they were called out at around 3:00 a.m. Monday to a two-vehicle collision near Carriere Road in St. Pierre Jolys.
It appears a pickup truck was stopped when it was rear-ended by an SUV.
The 24-year-old pickup driver, from Alberta, along with three 16-year-olds in the SUV, were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Along with booze, police say fog is considered a factor in the crash.
The investigation is still underway and charges have yet to be laid.
