BAKERSFIELD – Having to start a hockey game at 10:30 a.m. local time might be a strange thing to adjust to.
But the Manitoba Moose were unfazed, riding a big second period to knock off the Condors 4-1 in front of 8,636 screaming kids in Bakersfield.
It was Field Trip Day, which meant the game started way earlier than most players would be used to.
Dan DeSalvo scored twice in a four-goal second frame while Eric Comrie made 29 saves to snap a brief two-game losing streak for the Moose.
The Moose continue their five-game road trip Friday night in Tuscon.
