WINNIPEG – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s town hall meeting in Winnipeg is moving to a bigger venue.
It was originally scheduled for the Caboto Centre this afternoon but is being moved to the University of Winnipeg’s Duckworth Gymnasium, which holds three times as many people.
Winnipeg MP Jim Carr tells 680 CJOB Trudeau’s town hall tour across the country has been very popular.
“Wherever he has gone, there has been tons of interest in having exactly this kind of conversation, which is an expression of how important the prime minister thinks it is to hear from Canadians,” says Carr.
The doors to the Duckworth Gymnasium open at 2:00 PM with the town hall starting at 3:30 PM.
