WINNIPEG – A 21-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly going on a stabbing spree in The Exchange District
Police say six people have been stabbed in five difference incidents in the last couple weeks. Three of them were over the age of sixty.
Investigators say all the victims will survive but were sent to hospital with serious injuries.
They say the attacks were all unprovoked. They took place between January 13 and January 30th.
Most of the alleged attacks happened on Princess Street. One of them happened at the Red River College campus on January 13th and saw a student attacked. The school is beefing up security.
Another attack happened near The Yellow Dog Tavern.
Jesse Neil Nedohin, 21, is facing charges of aggravated assault, robbery, possession of a weapon and uttering threats.
He is in custody at the remand centre.
