WINNIPEG – If you’ve been seeing dust whipping up on the roads lately, that will soon be a thing of the past.
On Tuesday April 18th, city crews will begin the annual spring clean up operation.
This will mean sweeping the streets including back lanes over the next five to six weeks.
Jim Berzowski is the manager of streets maintenance for the City of Winnipeg, he says they’ll target the major areas first.
“We’ll continue that clean up campaign throughout the city, and that’s gonna be on your high volume networks, your downtown, your collector and bus routes and your residential neighborhoods.”
Temporary “No Parking” signs will be placed on some streets during scheduled cleaning times.
Motorists are encouraged to find alternate parking during the posted times to avoid being ticketed or towed.
