Drinking Up: Spending On Booze Grows
Canadians continue to love their booze. Alcohol sales were up again this past year, according to a new report from Stats Canada. We spend over 20 billion dollars on drinks during the 2014 fiscal year. That's up a little over 1% from the year before. Beer is still the most popular choice but wine is quickly closing the gap. Wine is now the 2nd most popular option - accounting for over 30% of total alcohol sales....
