City And Transit Union Strike Tentative Deal
The overtime ban is over as the city and Amalgamated Transit Union have reached a tentative agreement. The two sides sat down with a conciliator and negotiated for nearly 11 hours Friday before striking the unofficial deal. Winnipeg Transit director Dave Wardrop said he is pleased everyone can get back to business. "We're excited and I think ATU are happy with the outcome," Wardrop said at a news conference Saturday.
