Minimum Wage Hike Effective Today
The province’s lowest paid workers are getting another pay raise today. For the 14th year in a row, minimum wage in the province is jumping 25 cents from $10.45 to $10.70 starting today, October 1st. It puts our province as the second-highest among other Canadian provinces, behind Ontario at $11.00 per hour. It’s not the only regulation to kick in today.
