No Need To Worry About Flooding Just Yet
The province says there is a normal to above normal risk of flooding on the Assiniboine River this year. The reason-lots of water-heavy snow to the west and lots of moisture already in the soil. The Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan and Souris rivers are also at risk. Most of the province's major lakes and rivers are above normal levels for this time of year. But as always, the delayed thaw and a rainstorm like we saw just before the flood last summer could result in a quick melt and overland...
